Kannapolis woman charged with trafficking opium, heroin

A Kannapolis woman was charged Monday with two counts of obtaining property by false pretense and two counts of trafficking opium or heroin.

Angela Dawn Stowe, 32, of 402 Rogers Lake Road, was charged by Kannapolis Police with attempting to obtain a prescription of 90 tablets of hydrocodone in the name of Nona Stowe. According to an arrest warrant filed in the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office, Angela Stowe took the prescription for herself and had no intention of giving the pills to Nona Stowe.

The incident happened at Martin’s Drug Co.

Angela Stowe is also charged with possessing 28 grams or more of heroin.

She was released after posting a $10,000 bond. Her first court appearance was Tuesday.
