A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital Friday evening after a vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and Mooresville Road, according to the Salisbury Fire Department.
The unnamed woman, who was 37 weeks pregnant, was transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center after the accident around 6:10 p.m., Capt. Cory Orbison said.
He said the woman wasn’t seriously injured.
“(She) probably just hit the airbag,” Orbison said.
The woman’s Ford Mustang collided with a Ford Taurus in the intersection, he said.
The man driving the Taurus refused treatment.
