NORTH CAROLINA SILVER ALERT ANNOUNCEMENT

RALEIGH 12:45 p.m. – The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man, Charles Puffenbarger.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Charles Puffenbarger, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Anyone with information about Charles Puffenbarger should call Officer Frazer at the Sanford Police Department at 919-775-8268.

Location of Incident: On 9/3/2008, Mr. Charles Puffenbarger was following his wife as they were traveling through North Carolina in route to their home in Florida. At some point, Mrs. Puffenbarger checked her rearview mirror only to find that Mr. Puffenbarger was no longer following her. The location last seen was the Palomino Motor Lodge on Route 211.

Location Last Seen: Mr. Puffenbarger was last seen in the area of Route 211 at the Palomino Motor Lodge. Sandford area.
