Travis Spencer, 18, received his Eagle Scout award Saturday at High Rock Community Church.
Jon Allen and Jeff Fleming, Scoutmaster of Troop 317, made the presentation.
Spencer, the son of Glenda and Barry Dyson and Brian Spencer, is a 2007 graduate of East Rowan High School. He is a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He has earned 21 merit badges and attended Camp Barnhart. He has been in Scouts since 1994. His Eagle Scout project was a Red Cross Blood Drive at High Rock Community Church in June.
