Three men face gambling-related charges

Two men were cited Thursday for selling gambling tickets and a third man was also cited for his involvement in the incident. Investigators, who had been gathering information, seized items from locations in Salisbury and Kannapolis. The items seized included pull tickets, a weapon and about $2,100.

The Special Investigations Unit of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department cited David Glenn Jordan, 44, of 1115 N. Walnut St., Kannapolis, and Charles Conrad Hendrix, 63, of 130 Linda Ave., China Grove, for operating a game of chance and possession of number tickets.

Ronald Keith Hobbs, 50, of 4725 Clubview Drive, Concord, was cited for possession of number tickets. Hobbs was cited, along with Jordan, at the Kannapolis location.

Investigators issued a search warrant at 2875 Old China Grove Road, Kannapolis, where they confiscated ticket boards, pull tickets, a gun and $834.

At the China Grove Road location officers cited Jordan and Hobbs.

At 6045 S. Main St., Salisbury, officers recovered ticket boards, pull tickets, a gun and $1,286.
