Smart Start to offer play groups in Rowan
Did you know that children learn best when they are at play? In order to provide additional learning opportunities for children and support to stay-at-home parents and guardians, Smart Start Rowan is offering a new activity called Play to Learn.
Play to Learn is a free one-hour playgroup for children up to 5 years old, and it is coming to a site near you.
Smart Start Rowan will be partnering with local community or faith-based organizations that will host the playgroups at sites throughout Rowan County.
If you are a Rowan County community or faith-based organization interested in hosting a play group at your facility, or if you are a parent/caregiver with a child between 0 -5 years of age interested in attending a local playgroup, please contact Teresa McGarrity, Play to Learn coordinator at Smart Start Rowan 704-603-3367.
