Six departments respond to fire at Larkspur Road
Staff report
No one was injured when a fire broke out in a home near Faith Thursday afternoon, an assistant fire chief said.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire at a home at 297 Larkspur Road around 2:20 p.m., said Bobby Burleyson, assistant chief at the South Salisbury Fire Department.
“When we got there, there was smoke showing,” he said.
The homeowner, Scott Misenheimer, made it out of the house safely, Burleyson said.
The fire started near a light socket in a bathroom in the one-story house, Burleyson said.
“It traveled up the wall into the attic,” he said.
Burleyson said the attic sustained major damage, while the main part of the house sustained moderate damage. The Red Cross was working with Misenheimer Thursday, Burleyson said.
The South Salisbury, Salisbury, Granite Quarry, Bostian Heights, Faith and Rockwell Rural fire departments responded.
