Six people were charged Jan. 12 and 13 with failure to return rental property to Colortyme Rental, 379 E., Plaza Drive, Mooresville, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
They are Melissa Rebecca Burrous, 40, 1175 Wilkinson Road, Mooresville; Shannon Harris, 25, 1018 Howell Road; Bryant Taylor Parks, 28, 1018 Howell Road; Jennifer Scott, 33, 151 Ferrell Lane; Willie Scott, 40, 1728 Second St.; and Gregory Dale Turnmire, 20, 216 Tee Pee Trail, Kannapolis.
Trial date for all of them is Feb. 28 in Iredell District Court, Statesville.

– Christopher Lee Cook, 29, 103 Whitney Court, was charged Jan. 11 with assault and battery based on a complaint by Kurtis Bullard, 4910 Tar Heel Trail, Wilmington. Trial date is Feb. 25 in New Hanover District Court, Wilmington.
– Jennifer Sue Dalton, 25, 2335 Phifer Road, Cleveland, was charged Jan. 13 with second-degree trespassing, injury to real property and making a harassing phone call based on a complaint by Bernard E. Miller of Statesville. She was released on a written promise to appear in Iredell District Court, Statesville.
– Mary Teresa Eller, 45, 107 Wood St., Cleveland, was charged Jan. 12 with misdemeanor larceny based on a complaint by John Waller, 142 Yellow Stone Lane. Trial date is Feb. 11.
– Mechelle Marciunna Glenn, 18, 177B Walton Road, was charged Jan. 12 with injury to personal property based on a complaint by Faith Hosch, 523 Bringle Ferry Road. Trial date is March 6.
– Bobby Eugene Holshouser, 35, address given as streets of Salisbury, was charged Jan. 12 with a school attendance law violation. He was held under $10,000 secured bond pending a Feb. 19 trial date.- Cera Tiann Luther, 34, 3440 Hickory Place, was charged Jan. 12 with assault with a deadly weapon based on a complaint by Danielle Robinson, 609 Council St. Trial date is Jan. 31.- Holly Yvonne Putinsky, 34, 445 Wal Hollow Lane, Mooresville, was charged Jan. 13 with simple assault based on a complaint by Jacqueline McCrary of Hiddenite. Trial date is Feb. 4.
– Eddie Dewayne Simms, 32, 240 Panfish Lane, was charged Jan. 13 with a domestic violence protective order violation based on a complaint by Gail Troutman, 8170 Bringle Ferry Road. He was held pending a bond hearing.
– Robert Dion Smith, 43, 1025 Double Impact Drive, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 13 with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
