A Salisbury man has been charged with numerous offenses involving a minor.
Darry Edward Slaughter, 46, of 200 Montclair Drive, was charged Wednesday with taking indecent liberties with a child, assault on a child under 12 and communicating threats.
He was being held in the Rowan County Detention Center Wednesday night under a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to make a first court appearance Thursday morning.
