Salvation Army provides for all its Angels again

The Salvation Army was able to provide Christmas for all who signed up for the Angel Tree and even had enough to provide for those who came in at the last minute needing assistance.
In all, 1,506 people in Rowan County signed up for Angels received toys and clothing to provide a wonderful Christmas. A total of 838 families received food for a Christmas meal.
“It is an honor and a pleasure to serve those less fortunate in such a fantastic community,” said Robin L. Starr, major for the the Salvation Army in Salisbury. “We have never served in a community such as this where the compassion runs so deep. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
