Salisbury annexing RCCC Feb. 3
Salisbury City Council approved the voluntary annexation Tuesday of 99.9 acres of the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College campus.
The annexation will take effect Feb. 3 after a second reading of the ordinance.
A small portion of the campus off Jake Alexander Boulevard already lies within the city limits.
Council’s action brings the rest in at the college’s request.
“It’s always exciting when someone wants to join the city,” Councilman Mark Lewis said.
