Employees of Rowan Regional Medical Center have raised $1,571 for the families of Justin Monroe and Victor Isler, the two firefighters killed in the March 7 fire at Salisbury Millwork.
Justin Monroe’s mother, Lisa, is a longtime employee of the medical center.
“This disaster affected many employees who work here at Rowan Regional, and the fund drive began as a way for our staff to lend their support to the families of these brave firefighters,” said Chuck Elliott, chief executive officer of Rowan Regional. “I am very proud of our staff for the way they responded to this tragedy.”
All departments contributed to the fund, which was set up by the City of Salisbury and the Bank of North Carolina for the families of the two firefighters.
