Rowan County Democratic Women to meet Saturday

There will be a meeting of the Rowan County Democratic Women at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 223 N. Fulton St.
Charlottean Pat Patton will present “On Being a Lifelong Democrat.” At 90, Patton has been heavily involved in the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party for decades.
As current first vice chair, she was elected by the state party to attend the 2008 National Democratic Convention.
The public, both men and women, are invited to attend this event. A continental breakfast will be provided for $2. To join the Democratic Women for 2008, please bring an additional $8.
Rowan County Commission candidate Raymond Coltrain as well as several other state and local Democratic politicians or their representatives will be on hand to make short presentations and speak with people individually.
