Rowan-Cabarrus offers biotech seminar Tuesday

A seminar offered by the Small Business Center at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will help answer the question: ěBiotechnology and life sciences: whatís in it for me?î The Small Business Center (SBC) will offer the seminar: ěHow to Benefit from the Growth of Biotech and Life Sciences Sectors in the Charlotte Regionî on Tuesday, 9 to 11 a.m., at RCCCís Cabarrus Business & Technology Center, 660 Concord Parkway N., Concord.
The seminar will include a presentation by the BioNetwork of the North Carolina Community College System, tours of a mobile biotechnology laboratory and the opportunity to talk with the experts in the fields of biotechnology and life sciences. RCCC will provide information about its biotechnology and other programs designed to prepare students for the types of jobs being created in the region. The seminar is a drop-in event ń visitors may come any time between 9-11 a.m., and participate in the entire program.
The Small Business Center at RCCC is a community-based provider of education, training, counseling, information and referral, assisting entrepreneurs with business ideas and existing small business ventures.
