Rockwell man charged with statutory rape

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged a Rockwell man Wednesday with seven counts of statutory rape and six counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Charged is Timmy Lee Shoe, 37, of 1154 Lot 1, Chow Drive, Rockwell. He was placed under $250,000 bond.
G.M. Hannold of the Sheriff’s Office investigated. The incidents occurred between June 1 and Aug. 31, according to reports.
The victim was 13 years old. Shoe’s first appearance in District Court was Thursday.
