Rockwell man charged with growing marijuana

ROCKWELL ó The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged a man with growing marijuana plants in a backyard shed.
Adam Chad Roberson, 25, of 4420 Hwy. 152 E., Rockwell, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies searched the Rockwell home Friday and seized two marijuana plants growing behind a storage shed behind the residence.
Inside the residence, investigators located and seized several bags of marijuana, two guns and several items of drug paraphernalia. The total weight of the marijuana was 720 grams.
Roberson was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $3,000 secured bond, pending a first appearance in court Monday.
