Red Cross classes for November
Published 12:00 am Wednesday, December 2, 2009
The E.H.Dole Chapter of the American Red Cross offers various ways to certify or re-certify for training.
Regular courses are great for first timers, or long-ago certified participants, because they offer a “practice-while-you watch” DVD and “hands- on” practice. Individual courses are recommended for these participants.
For those who have been certified in the previous 12 months, review courses save time, and combination courses save money.
Another option is the one-hour Challenge courses. Any person (certified in the past or not),who is totally prepared for written exams, and current skills, can take a Challenge course. Since no instruction is given, participants must be current on skills since the January 2007 changes. No refunds will be given if one does not pass and is recommended for a full course.Included in all of the full courses are discussions about disease prevention and the Good Samaritan Laws.
