Red Cross announces classes scheduled for October

The Elizabeth Hanford Dole Chapter of the American Red Cross offers various ways to certify or re-certify for training.
“Regular” courses are great for first-timers or long-ago certified participants because they offer a “practice-while-you watch” DVD and hands- on practice. Individual courses are recommended for these participants.
For participants who have been certified in the previous 12 months, review coursessave time, and combination courses save money.
Another option is the one-hour challenge courses. Any person (certified in the past or not) totally prepared for written exams and current skills can take a challenge course. Since no instruction is given, participants must be current on skills since the January 2007 changes. No refunds will be given if one does not pass and is recommended for a full course.
Included in all of the full courses are discussions about disease prevention and the Good Samaritan Laws.
