Over the next five years, the U.S. Department of Defense will spend between $5-7 billion on construction projects at North Carolina military bases. Many of the projects will include significant masonry work.
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will host a July 22 program to help North Carolina masonry contractors learn about the projects and network with general contractors, designers and government officials.
The N.C. Military Business Center and the N.C. Masonry Contractors Association are sponsoring the program scheduled for 9-10 a.m. in Building 200, Room 260-261, on the Salisbury campus.
It will include structured networking sessions with prime contractors and government representatives, a panel discussion of contractors doing military construction (MILCON) work, and short sessions on upcoming projects.
To register, visit the N.C. Military Business Center website, www.MCMBC.us/masonry. For more details, call 877-245-5520 or e-mail burrellj@ncmbc.us.
