Police investigating Kannapolis shooting death

KANNAPOLIS ó Police were investigating the shooting death Wednesday night of a 67-year-old man on West 21st Street.
Larry Clyde Adams, of 204 W. 21st St., was in his backyard with two other men when he was when he was shot and killed Wednesday evening, Adams’ family and police said.
Adams was shot at least once with a small-caliber handgun, said Lt. Ken Jackson of the Kannapolis Police Department.
Jackson said police didn’t know Wednesday night who owned the gun and whether the incident was accidental or if foul play was involved.
