Police blotter – Vandals damage five headstones in cemetery

Vandals damaged five headstones in a local cemetery, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Linda Davis told officers the stones at Dixonville Cemetery, 210 Old Concord Road, were damaged between Oct. 10 and 22.
In other Police Department reports:
– Kathleen Streiff Boyd reported a sign stolen Oct. 22 off a brick wall at 640 Statesville Blvd.
– Laquinnta Ann Alexander reported a break-in to her vehicle at 1011 Scales St. Oct. 22.
– Roy Lee Sims, 63, 812 Fifth St., Spencer, was charged Oct. 23 with felony assault with a deadly weapon/assault inflicting serious injury to an officer and misdemeanor assault on a female at 23 Cedar St. He was given an Oct. 27 first appearance in court.
– A 23-year-old female reported Oct. 22 that she was assaulted by the relative of a patient while she was working at Salisbury Gardens, 2201 Statesville Blvd.
– Hannah Elizabeth Waller reported her pocketbook was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at 302 Woodson St. Oct. 22.
– Patricia Jean Major reported a burglar broke into 233 Annandale Ave. Oct. 23.
– Rose Meeks Jones reported someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked at 700 W. Council St. the night of Oct. 22.
– Mickey Wayne Jordan was the victim of an Oct. 23 vandalism at 100 Dolly Madison Circle.
– Thomasina Michelle Curry reported a burglar broke into her apartment at 315 Ashbrook Road Oct. 23.
– Treaquahn Quazzel Jones, 21, 641 Statesville Blvd., No. 1101, was charged Oct. 23 with misdemeanor shoplifting of $32.32 in items from Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St. He was held under $200 secured bond pending a Nov. 3 trial date.
– Chrissy Shavohn Caldwell reported an Oct. 23 vandalism at 715 Hall St.
– Clarence Benjamin Fellows reported an Oct. 23 vandalism at 1224 S. Fulton St.
