News boxes stolen from area locations

A Salisbury Post newspaper box was stolen Jan. 21 from 2231 Old Wilkesboro Road.

Charlotte Observer newspaper boxes were stolen Jan. 21 from outside the men’s restroom at Rushco, 1901 W. Innes St. and Jan. 22 from outside Richard’s Barbecue, 522 N. Main St., and at 702 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.

In other Police Department reports:

* Damon Montrell Ross, 22, was charged Jan. 18 with injury to personal property at 704 E. Innes St.

* Willie James Ashford, 47, was charged Jan. 18 with second-degree trespassing at 600 Linn Lane.

* A 15-year-old boy was charged Jan. 18 with simple assault at 712 W. Fisher St.

* Bonita Sheryl Jordan, 37, was charged Jan. 18 with second-degree trespassing at 834 E. Lafayette St.
