Pedestrian struck by pickup on Jake Alexander Boulevard

A pedestrian crossing Jake Alexander Boulevard suffered head injuries late Friday night when he was struck by a pick-up truck.
Emergency workers said the man appeared to be in his 20s and that there was significant damage to the F-350 Ford truck where the impact occurred.
Salisbury Police were investigating the wreck, which occurred about 11:20 p.m. near Julian Road.
Rowan County Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Rowan Regional Medical Center.
