Pals with Paws: Litter of 12 puppies at Animal Shelter

The Rowan County Animal Shelter has several animals waiting to be adopted and taken to a good home.
Dog: This little puppy seriously needs to come to your home before Christmas so you know exactly what type of present to buy him. He is a boxer-lab mix, 6 weeks old and is only one of a litter of 12. Come see the family.
Cat: Formally dressed in the appropriate tuxedo attire of black and white, this little kitten is prepared to join your family for a holiday feast. At 8 weeks old, this cat would be the perfect size to fit in a stocking.
From rescued animals to those abandoned by owners who couldn’t afford them, and all others in between, the Animal Shelter has them all.
Adoption fees are $70, a downpayment for spay-neuter costs. The voucher can be used at any vet’s office.
Before adopting, a person must agree to take the pet to a veterinarian for an exam and spaying/neutering. If the animal isn’t vaccinated for rabies yet, the person must agree to begin shots within three business days.
Kennel hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30-4:15 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-noon, and Saturday, 8-11:30 a.m.
