Vellie H. Sills
Vellie Honeycutt Sills, 87, formerly of Kannapolis, died March 10, 2008, at The Haven at Highland Creek.
Born Aug. 1, 1920, in Stanly County, Mrs. Sills was a daughter of the late Ephram Elexander and Eliza Morton Honeycutt.
Her husband, Joseph Perry Sills, preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter Angela Sills Baucom, Davidson; sons Jeffrey Kent Sills, Fort Worth, Texas, and Joseph Perry Sills Jr., Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
A service was held Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Lady’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Julie Hill, associate pastor, Davidson College Presbyterian Church. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
