Linda Ann Flake
CONCORD ó Linda Ann Flake, 61, 191 Mahan St., died March 7, 2008, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
Born Dec. 14, 1946, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Flake was a daughter of Margaret Caldwell and the late John Henry Smith.
In addition to her mother, survivors include husband Frank Benny Flake; daughter Adriene Bost Medlin, Concord; sons Terrence Eugene Smith and James Franklin Smith, both of Concord; stepdaughter Magaline Flake, Concord; sisters Beatrice Barber and Betty Reid, both of Concord, Ruth Jordan, Kannapolis, and Kay B. Brown, Lexington; brother John Henry Smith Jr., Concord; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A service was held Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Barber Scotia College, conducted by Elders T.W. Samuels and Kenneth Smith. Burial, Reeves Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church cemetery.
Clark Funeral Home was in charge.
