North band wins five
The North Rowan High School Marching Band won five awards in the Class 2A Marching Band Division of the Food Lion Classic Oct. 11 at East Rowan High School.
Awards included first-place drum line and general effect, second-place band, music and place marching maneuvering. The band also received the “Excellent” rating.
Its next competition will be in class 3A division at the “Foard Band Classic” Marching Contest Oct. 25 at Fred T. Foard High School. The North band is directed by Keith and Andrew Howe.
