While David H. Murdock will provide 100 bicycles and miles of walking paths at the N.C. Research Campus, people will still need a place to park.
Lots of places to park.
To serve the anticipated workforce of 5,000 employees, campus planners have proposed 12 parking garages.
The first one is nearly complete.
It will serve the staff and tenants of the David H. Murdock Core Laboratory Building, or the Core Lab for short.
When the garage is finished in April, it will accommodate 536 vehicles. People probably can start parking there in May, said Tom Sanctis, vice president of construction for Castle & Cooke.
The Core Lab should open this summer.
