More than 3,000 have voted early

Close to 3,000 Rowan Countians already have cast ballots in the N.C. primary election, but the deadline for early voting is approaching fast.
Saturday is the last day early voting is available for the N.C. primary. The deadline for early voting is 1 p.m. Saturday.
The early-voting locations in Rowan County and the remaining times available for early voting are:
– The Rowan County Board of Elections office, County Administration Building, 130 W. Innes St., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
– Rowan Public Library’s East Branch, 110 Broad St., Rockwell, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
– Rowan Public Library’s South Branch, 920 Kimball Road, China Grove, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
Voters participating in the Democratic primary will be voting for president, U.S. Senate, U.S. House (6th District), governor, lieutenant governor, auditor, insurance commissioner, labor commissioner, superintendent of public instruction, treasurer and county commissioner.
Republicans are voting for president, U.S. Senate, governor, lieutenant governor, superintendent of public instruction, N.C. House District 76 and county commissioner.
All primary voters will be voting in the non-partisan races for two N.C. Court of Appeals seats.
Landis voters face a mixed-beverage referendum. And Kannapolis residents in Rowan County have two Kannapolis School Board seats to vote on.
On Tuesday, polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
