Membership meeting
The founding board of Yadkin Riverkeeper Inc. will hold its annual membership meeting Saturday on High Rock Lake at the 40 & 8 Club.
Folks planning to attend should start arriving at 11:30 a.m. They are asked to bring a homemade dish and beverage for a potluck meal at noon.
Members will ratify the bylaws, elect the board of directors, share concerns and visions for the Yadkin Pee Dee River Basin and get updated on the organization.
Any member who has paid the minimum dues of $25 will be eligible to vote.
Some members of the founding board will be standing for re-election; however, there will be vacancies on the board to fill. For an application, contact board@yadkinriverkeeper.org with “Board Application” as the subject.
Directions to the 40 & 8 Club: From I-85 near Salisbury, take Exit 81 onto Long Ferry Road and head east until it deadends at High Rock Lake. The 40 & 8 Club is on the right.
