Man says thieves swiped tools, building materials

A Gastonia man reported Nov. 7 intruders stole building materials, tools and household goods valued at $22,750 from property he owns at Statesville Boulevard.
Homer Gibson Hall told Rowan County Sheriff’s Office someone forced their way through a basement door, took items from the residence, two outbuildings and cut a catalytic converter off an untagged vehicle in a barn.

– A 21-year-old Salisbury man reported he was shot was in his car at 470 Ridgecrest Road Apt. B on Nov. 7.
– Kimberly Lou Ellenberg reported on Nov. 7 cleaning service workers took money from her residence at 16350 Cool Springs Road, Cleveland.
– Margaret Marie Wallace reported Nov. 7 a female acquaintance took a purse containing money, prescription medications and personal property from a woman at 13525 U.S. 52.
– Arnold Luck Shrewsbury reported Nov. 8 someone was breaking into his home at 7430 E. N.C. 152, Rockwell. Michael Dean Moore, 41, was charged with breaking and entering. Items taken include coins, a rifle and a photo card.
– A 29-year-old Salisbury man reported on Nov. 8 a Hispanic man came to his Airport Road residence and tried to shoot him.
– A 27-year-old Salisbury woman reported on Nov. 9 that she was assaulted at an apartment on Overbrook Road.
– Frankie I. Johns reported at 1055 Cannon St., Rockwell on Nov. 9 someone obtained a total of $411 from his bank account by using forged personal checks on separate occasions.
– James William Cowan, 49, was charged Nov. 9 at740 Harris Road with second-degree trespassing, intoxicated and disruptive and resist, delay and obstruct a public officer.
– Dominos Pizza delivery driver was robbed on Nov. 9 at 143 Maidstone Drive.
– Wanda Sue Hosch reported a larceny from 390 Panther Point Trail on Nov. 9.
– Debra Gail Hinson, 43, was charged with misdemeanor resist, delay and obstruct a public officer on Nov. 7 at 750 Eastview Drive, Faith.
– Dustin Reid Hinson was charged on Nov. 7 at 750 Eastview Drive, Faith with misdemeanor breaking and entering a building.
– Barry Alan Sidden, 44, was charged on Nov. 9 with resist, delay and obstruct a public officer at 1675 N. Main St., China Grove.
– Paul Eugene Henry, 38, was charged on Nov. 9 at 5388 Sam Broadway Loop, Kannapolis with resist, delay and obstructing a public officer.
