Staff report
An Enochville man escaped injury when the farm tractor he was operating turned over Saturday afternoon.
Enochville firefighters responded to the call on Johnson Street off Saw Road around 5 p.m.
Enochville Fire Chief John Jenkins said the man was operating a tractor on a steep incline. Due to the wet conditions, it slid a short distance and overturned.
The man was pinned between the tractor and a tree.
“We got him out very quickly,” said Jenkins, who did not know the man’s name.
Firefighters hooked a chain to a tractor to free the man. Jenkins said the man was not injured.
