Legislative briefing
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College faculty and staff members will get an opportunity to talk with and ask questions of the state representatives and senators who represent Cabarrus and Rowan counties at a legislative briefing Nov. 10 at 9:15 a.m. in the North Campus Teaching Auditorium in Salisbury. The public also is welcome to attend.
RCCC has invited state senators Andrew Brock and Fletcher Hartsell and state representatives Jeff Barnhart, Lorene Coates, Linda Johnson and Fred Steen. Each will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing North Carolina and the two-county region during the 2009 legislative session and take questions from the audience.
Prior to the legislative briefing, the RCCC board of trustees and senior leaders will host a breakfast in honor of the elected officials.
