The LandTrust for Central North Carolina is hosting a “Children’s Day” at the N.C. Zoological Park on Sept. 27, beginning at 9 a.m.
The event will feature a special program for children on dragonflies and other pond-side species by aquatic biology expert Roger Robbins and a tour of the zoo’s new “Watani Grasslands” exhibit.
Admission for the event is $5 per person (a savings of $4 per ticket), limited to the first 40 people who register with the LandTrust. Registrants are asked to bring a picnic lunch.
“The North Carolina Zoological Park is not only one of the Piedmont’s best attractions, it’s also a key partner for land conservation in our service region,” says Jason Walser, executive director of the LandTrust for Central North Carolina. “We look forward to this opportunity to explore the zoo’s newest exhibit and provide some special programming for our friends and their families at this event.”
To register for the event, or for more information, please contact Crystal Cockman, Uwharrie Conservation Specialist at the LandTrust, at 336-633-0143 or e-mail her at crystal@landtrustcnc.org.
