Hazmat Night Out
LANDIS ó The Landis Fire Department hosted its second annual Hazmat Night Out on July 22.
This year the Fire Department invited the Rowan-Salisbury Hazmat Team to discuss changes in the hazardous materials response arena and to demonstrate the team’s decontamination equipment.
Engineer Carter, of the team, held an informal question-and-answer session for the firefighters present.
Firefighters from the Landis, Rockwell Rural, South Salisbury, Cleveland and Kannapolis fire departments attended the program as well as a representative from the Rowan County Airport.
Planning is already underway for next year’s session.
