At its session Thursday night, the Rowan County Land Use Steering Committee will focus on scheduling public meetings.
The committee is scheduled to determine the locations and dates for various forums to be held in the study area, which is all of the county west of I-85.
Members will also discuss and decide what type of forums will be used.
The committee is also set to get additional information, as well as conduct a map exercise. Each of the 10 members will be asked to present their ideas, concerns and patterns related to future growth in the study area.
The committee will also revisit the previously adopted vision statement. Committee member James Rollans suggested the statement needs to be expanded.
The committee meets at 7 p.m. in the J. Newton Cohen Sr. Meeting Room, County Administrative Offices Building, 130 W. Innes St.
