Kohl’s expects to hire about 130 people for full- and part-time jobs at its new Salisbury store.
The department store chain will hold a job fair for interested applicants Sunday through Aug. 14 at the Holiday Inn-Salisbury, 530 Jake Alexander Blvd.
Kohl’s expects to open its Salisbury store in the new Wallace Commons shopping center on Julian Road in October.
Job applicants should go to Kohl’s Web site, www.kohlscareers.com or call 877-NEW-KOHLS (877-639-5645), a 24-hour job hotline, to obtain further details, begin the application process and secure an interview slot.
Kohl’s employs about 130,000 people nationwide and has been recognized by BusinessWeek as one of the “best places to launch a career” for two consecutive years.
The Salisbury store will hire associates for cash register operation, department service, customer service, early morning stocking, truck unloading, housekeeping and evening signage/pricing updates, according to a company press release.
“New hires will receive competitive wages and medical insurance as well as 401(k), employee stock ownership and merchandise discounts,” the release says.
The schedule for the five-day job fair is:
– Sunday and Monday: 10:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
– Aug. 12 and 14: 12:15 to 7:30 p.m.
– Aug. 13: 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., Kohl’s expects to be operating 1,004 stores in 48 states by November.
