Kannapolis ordering second printing of pictorial city history

KANNAPOLIS ó After a little more than a month on sale, “Kannapolis: A Pictorial History” has sold out of its first edition print run of 2,000.
The city has ordered 1,000 copies of a second edition that should arrive in six weeks.
The 304-page book includes more than 500 images and is a retrospective of events, buildings, organizations and, most importantly, the people of Kannapolis.
Images include G.W. Carver High School, Camp Elliott, Mary Ella Hall, Lake View Station and many of Cannon Mills.
Once the second edition arrives, the book will be available for sale again at the Visitor’s Center at 200 West Ave., the Book Trader at 1505 S. Main St. and Southern Charm at 131 West Ave.

Profits from the sale of the book will go toward projects that preserve and honor the history of Kannapolis.
