The N.C. Division of Water Quality has scheduled a public hearing for Jan. 15 on Alcoa Power Generating Inc.’s application for a Section 401 water quality certificate.
The hearing will be held at 7 p.m. at the Stanly County Board of Commissioners’ meeting room, 1000 North St., Albemarle.
APGI must receive the water quality certificate from the state before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission can issue a new long-term license on the Yadkin Hydroelectric Project, which includes High Rock Lake.
