A Harrisburg man died Sunday in a motorcycle accident in Rowan County.
Jason Lee Verrier, 30, of 8401 Live Oak Road, was killed when the 2008 Kawasaki he was riding ran off the left side of Zion Church Road and struck a culvert.
Zion Church Road is off Old Beatty Ford Road, on the eastern side of the county.
According to the N.C. Highway Patrol, Verrier was thrown from the motorcycle when it struck the culvert. The motorcycle came to rest on the left side of
the road.
The accident happened at 12:59 p.m. Excessive speed was not thought to be a factor in the accident.
