Habitat for Humanity of Rowan County will hold its fall Port-A-Pit barbecue chicken fundraiser Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Salisbury Civic Center.
For $8, the meal comes with with a half-chicken, slaw, potato salad, dessert and roll.
Supporters can eat in or take meals to go. Habitat volunteers operate an efficient, friendly drive-through service and will deliver orders of 10 of more meals.
The fundraiser is one of the major sources of revenue Habitat needs to build homes for needy families.
