A&T graduate Jo Van D. Turner of Winston-Salem is a December graduate of N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro. She received a master’s degree in adult education with human resource development and higher education her area of study.

A graduate of West Rowan High School, Turner received an AAS in accounting and merchandising from Rutledge College and a bachelor of science degree in public administration from Winston-Salem State University.

She is a community support specialist with Triumph LLC and an adjunct professor at Davidson County Community College. She plans to begin pursuing a doctorate this summer.

Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Willie L. Turner of Woodleaf.

Master’s at UNCC

Jacqueline Roemer has received a master of arts degree in mathematics education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Roemer, a 1988 graduate of Salisbury High School, received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Catawba College in 2002.

She is the daughter of Penny Roemer of Salisbury and the late Dr. Hans E. Roemer.
