Julie Ferguson received a master of physical therapy during Aug. 9 graduation exercises at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ferguson was the recipient of the Rebecca Irene Sande Scholarship.
A 2002 graduate of West Rowan High School, she received a degree in exercise and sports science with a minor in Spanish from UNC-CH in 2006.
She plans to begin the doctor of physical therapy program at UNC-CH this fall. Her parents are Dr. and Mrs. Mark Brittain of Salisbury and Mr. and Mrs. Barry Ferguson of Lexington.
