Law school graduate
Aminda Leigh Byrd is a May 2007 cum laude graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. She received her juris doctorate with a concentration in international law.
Byrd was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and received the Professor Virginia Leary Award for outstanding academic performance in international law.
She was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2007 and is a federal staff attorney for the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.
A 1997 graduate of West Rowan High School, she received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2001.
Her parents are Tim and Carolyn Byrd of Salisbury.
