Forums will examine N.C. 3 corridor uses
KANNAPOLIS ó Two forums on Jan. 22 will give area residents a chance to hear more about land use along the N.C. 3 corridor and give their input.
Centralina Council of Governments, in association with Cabarrus County and Kannapolis, will hold the public forum sessions to discuss the Transportation and Land Use Study draft maps and text.
Residents may provide input and feedback on how the corridor should develop over the next 10 to 15 years.
The forums will be held at Bethpage Presbyterian Church that day at two times: 4-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m.
The church is at 6020 Mooresville Road.
Residents or business owners along the N.C. Highway 3 corridor between Kannapolis and Mooresville are encouraged to participate.
As the N.C. Research Campus develops, growth is expected along this portion of N.C. Highway 3.
Centralina Council of Governments and the local governments are examining how the corridor should develop and are addressing policies and regulations that could support the land use plan’s recommendations.
