Fire at Mt. Hope Church Road home causes smoke damage
A fire damaged a house at 3991 Mount Hope Church Road late Tuesday night.
The damage was mostly from smoke, according to Bostian Heights Fire Chief Mike Zimmerman.
“It looks like it may have started in the chimney,” he said.
Firefighters received the call about 11:20 p.m.
Zimmerman said firefighters had to tear out the wall around the chimney to make sure the fire hadn’t spread.
At least three people were home when the fire began. No one was injured.
Ten fire departments and members of the Rowan Rescue Squad responded.
