Fire at Gold Hill Circle apartment displaces 7

Salisbury firefighters arrived at a Gold Hill Circle duplex apartment Tuesday afternoon to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building.The duplex, at 11 Gold Hill Circle, was “well-involved” when firefighters from Salisbury, Granite Quarry, Spencer and Rowan County Rescue Squad arrived at the scene at 4:44 p.m., according to Salisbury Fire Chief Bob Parnell.
Four adults in Unit 11 and two adults and a child in Unit 12 were displaced, Salisbury Fire Department Captain Jeff Youngblood said. There were no injuries. Officials believe the fire was accidental.
