Film exploring mental illness will be shown

In conjunction with Kean Digital Films, the Mental Health Association in Rowan County and NAMI (National Association on Mental Illness) Rowan is pleased to present Journey of Recovery — an extraordinary documentary that takes a close look at mental illness.

The film will be shown on Feb. 13 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1908 Statesville Blvd., at 7 p.m. A discussion will follow and light refreshments will be served.

Produced by Bart Kean and Ted Thomas, the documentary was created to make people aware that recovery from mental illness is possible.
