The Salisbury Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting its 4th annual Family Day this weekend.
The event is open to Salisbury Fire Department employees and their families.
The event will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Salisbury City Park.
“This is the first year the auxiliary is handling it,” said co-organizer Missy Thompson.
There will be food, music, face-painting and children’s games, including a wheelbarrow race, water balloon toss and a three-legged race.
There will also be other team activities that include volleyball, badminton and kickball, Thompson said.
Thompson is an auxiliary member. Her father, Mark, is a firefighter.
The auxiliary was created this summer.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the event should contact Thompson at 704-202-4290 or mathomp1@uncc.edu.
