Exhibit ending
The Rowan Museum’s black history exhibit, “African American Legacy” will close on Tuesday.
It features artifacts from late 19th to mid-20th centuries from Salisbury and Rowan County. Items in the exhibit range from domestic to educational to business to religion and other facets of African-American life during this time period.
Some items in the exhibit are from the museum’s collections, while many are on loan from private citizens in our community. The exhibit was sponsored by Dr. Christopher E. McIltrot.
The museum is located at 202 N. Main St. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
